Veggie Tales Twas The Night Before Easter DVD Review and Giveaway

Discover the true meaning of Easter and what helping others is really all about in this “hare” raising adventure!

It’s Easter time in Crisper County and cable news reporter Marlee Meade (Petunia Rhubarb) is hunting for a way to help others. On a tip that the old town theater will be shut down, Marlee cooks up a plan to save the stage and make a difference through the power of musical theater. With a cast of costume-clad townies, massive props and a 20-foot robot rabbit - “Up With Bunnies” is hatched! There’s only one thing missing – the star of the show!

When news spreads that singing sensation Cassie Cassava (Melinda Doolittle) is arriving to perform in her hometown church’s Easter service, Marlee gets worried. Concerned about the competition, she schemes to steal the starlet for her own pageant! But when things go haywire, will it be curtains for Marlee’s dreams – or will she discover the true meaning of Easter.

My little boys watched this three times in a row today! They absolutely love Veggie Tales, so they were excited to find out that they were going to get to see this one. My oldest son said that the giant robot was his favorite part and my middle son says his favorite part was the songs. My two year old just pointed through the whole thing. It is safe to say that the whole thing was his favorite. I am a big fan of Melinda Doolittle from her American Idol days, so I was thrilled that she voiced the Cassie Cassava voice. This DVD has not been released yet, so you will have to wait to watch it until it releases on March 5th. You can pre-order it here.

Commissioned by U.S. Figure Skating, the film RISE will celebrate American figure skating while commemorating the 50th anniversary of the 1961 U.S. World Figure Skating Team that perished in a plane crash on its way to the World Championships in Prague. Produced and directed by 16-time Emmy Award winners Lookalike Productions, RISE will document the sports' growth in popularity over the years and feature various luminaries of American figure skating. Proceeds from RISE will be used to further the mission of U.S. figure Skating's Memorial Fund, which was established on Feb. 23, 1961, as a living legacy of those who lost their lives. The film will coincide with the 50th anniversary of the tragedy.

Little Debbie Cloud Cakes Review and Whole Case Giveaway

My three boys and I love Little Debbie snacks. My children's school has a policy that we cannot bring homemade baked goods. We still hold bake sales. We always take Little Debbie snacks for the bake sales. My oldest son gets to buy two treats at the sale. One of his favorites to buy is the Little Debbie nutty bars. I like them too. I like to try to break apart the layers of wafers, challenging at times, but that is how I like to eat them!

My middle son is in pre-k and we like to bring the holiday themed Little Debbie snacks for treats.

With Easter coming, I think this will be the treat we will bring this year. They also have Easter basket cakes. They are available in chocolate or yellow cakes. They are available twin-wrapped in a ten count carton.

Little Debbie's newest addition to their line is Cloud Cakes. This great-tasting snack combines delicious golden sponge cake with fluffy vanilla creme filling. Individually wrapped 10 to a carton. These are so delicious that I had trouble convincing myself not to eat the entire carton!! We ended up taking these to the bake sale!

Baby Einstein's Baby Lullaby Discovery Kit Review

Baby Einstein always has such great products for babies, and this discovery kit is a great idea. It has a great dvd to watch at home. I loved the little puppet show with the little lamb. The colors were vibrant and kept our attention. The music is so peaceful that you could just listen to it all day long. In fact the kit comes with a cd so you can take it with you and listen on the road. The kit also comes with an adorable little board book that is perfect for little hands. I would definitely recommend your little ones listen to this. You can purchase this online at Amazon.
