Cinch's New Peel-and-Stick Aluminum Door Seal Review and Giveaway

WEATHERSTRIP YOUR HOUSE!

Celebrate National Energy Awareness month in October! Cinch is a completely new way to weatherstrip your front door this fall where you peel and stick aluminum stripping. (It goes on like the old-fashioned foam weather stripping.) Measure your door frame, use a hack saw to cut to size, and peel and stick. The entire process takes 15 minutes to do a door as a very simple DIY.

Cinch™ Door Seal works by creating an air-tight seal around the sides, top and bottom of entry doors. What once took 30 minutes to an hour with traditional weather-stripping can now be accomplished in minutes. The superior seal and premium adhesive will have you saving money on heating and cooling bills in no time.

Cinch is the first aluminum and vinyl weather stripping for doors made with a special 3M adhesive. It comes in three colors, brown, white and silver. It’s available nationwide in late-October at stores like The Home Depot and Lowe’s. Cost is $30 for the top, sides and bottom pieces - enough for one full front or back door.

It really is as easy as the video shows.  I just put the pieces up and measured and cut the pieces when I needed to.  It was simple to put up and keep up with the 3M adhesive.  I am glad there was no hammering involved! At first, I thought maybe using a hacksaw might be difficult, but it is a thin piece of aluminum, so not much sawing at all!  What an easy and fast way to help save on the energy bill!

Local Oklahoma City free event :
Learn how to save money on your heating bill with a free hands-on demo and Q&A throughout the fall. Please bring photos of your doors and windows and an overall dimension of your attic space. There will be information on insulation (blown and roll and the differences), caulking (and caulk guns) and an aluminum door seal by Cinch. The clinic times are noon to 4 p.m. on Oct. 20th and 27th , at 23rd & Penn.
Everyone gets a free copy of the booklet “Weatherization for Dummies” along with the advice.

Cinch would like to give away three prizes of the new Cinch weather stripping to celebrate National Energy Awareness Month!  (Each prize would be a top, sides and bottom to weatherstrip a full door, which retails for $30 total value for each prize.)

Here's how to win-

We use the CFL bulbs, though I am not 100% convinced that I am seeing any savings from them, especially considering how much I paid for the bulbs.

I tell the kids to turn off the lights when they leave a room, but it doesn't actually save energy because they don't actually do it.

What DON'T we do! We live in a monster of an old, drafty house and we caulk, foam, insulate receptacles, weatherstrip, programmable thermostats, and on and on. It seems like we have done all we can when we find other drafts and more work! Thanks for the giveaway!
